District fire chief retires after 37 years of service
James Snyder, 788th Civil Engineer Squadron district fire chief, retires with 37 years of combined military and civil service, Oct. 29, 2021, at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Snyder began working in the boiler plants of Wright-Patt as an enlisted Airman, before becoming a civilian in the plants, then transferring to the fire department where he excelled and rose through the ranks prior to his retirement.
